Where Richard would have worked
They had 8 children, Richard Edmund jr. born 1864 in Blacktown, Reginald born 1865 in Blacktown, Charles born 1866 in Blacktown, Clarence born 1868 in Blacktown, William born 1870 in Blacktown, Mary born 1872 in Trichinopoly, Arthur born 1879 (Christened in Coimbatore for some reason) and Florence born 1884 in Trichinopoly.
The Family resemblance is unmistakable
The family must have moved from Blacktown Madras to Trichinopoly between 1870 - 1872 and settled there, because Mary, Florence and Arthur were born there. It is presumed that Richard left the railways because on his death certificate he is described as a Cigar Manufacturer. Richard died in 1891 of liver failure and is buried in Trichinopoly.
